Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast

Ingredients

  • 1-2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 lemon (1-2 squeezes )
  • 1 tsp lighthouse guacamole herb & spice blend (optional)
  • 2-3 pinch of salt (more or less for taste )
  • 2 slices quality bread
  • softened butter
  • cream cheese
  • smoked salmon
  • everything bagel seasoning

Instructions 

  • 1. Mash avocados, guacamole spice blend, salt, and fresh lemon juice until combined. Its okay if the avocado is not fully mushed. A bit chunky is great, set aside.
  • Add softened butter to one side of the bread. Add to skillet and toast both sides on the skillet for a couple of minutes. Toast until nice and toasty (to your liking).
  • Take bread out of skillet, and set on serving plate.
  • Add cream cheese to slices of toasted bread. Spread generously.
  • Add the mashed avocados to both slices. Spread evenly.
  • Add slices of smoked salmon.
  • Sprinkle with "everything bagel seasoning".
  • Serve Immediately.

Notes

  1. Always use quality bread. this makes a huge difference!
  2. Don't forget to use fresh lemon juice and salt!
  3. I like to cut open avocados that are pretty soft on the outside. It is easier to mash them versus a harder avocado.
  4. If you have guacamole on hand you may use that to save time or if you are in a hurry. It of course will not taste as great as fresh avocados but it works too!
  5. Toast the bread on a skillet with butter! A warm crunchy toast is what makes up this whole toast!
  6. Quality ingredients, and preparing recipes PROPERLY is key to making everything taste delicious!
