Looking for a tasty yet easy recipe? These 3 ingredients chicken drumsticks are so juicy on the inside but crunchy on the outside. Chicken drumsticks are always a major hit, weather baked or air fried.

These chicken drumsticks are very simple, but they will always hit the spot. What I love most about them is they are healthier than fried drumsticks and serve so well with almost anything. I like to personally serve these as a main dish, with sides such as potato salad, rice, and veggies, or even mashed potatoes!

Ingredients for Baked Chicken Drumsticks –

  • Olive Oil
  • Lawry’s Garlic Salt
  • Chicken Drumsticks (about 10
  • Fresh Parsley (optional)
  • Lemon Wedges to serve with (optional)

How to Marinate Chicken Drumsticks-

This step is completely optional, however, if you do choose to marinate your drumsticks or if you have extra time on hand I would recommend to marinate them for 30 minutes to a couple of hours.

  1. Pat dry chicken drumsticks with a paper towel.
  2. Add drumsticks to a large zip lock bag.
  3. Add olive oil and Lawry’s Garlic salt.
  4. Close the bag and mix.
  5. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. You can leave them in overnight but not necessary.

How to bake chicken drumsticks in oven-

  1. Pat dry chicken drumsticks with a paper towel.
  2. Add drumsticks to a large zip lock bag.
  3. Add olive oil and Lawry’s Garlic salt.
  4. Close the bag and mix.
  5. Take out of the bag and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. This step is optional but if you do have fresh parsley I like to add into the chicken drumsticks before and after baking them.
  7. Bake them at 400 degrees F.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes, and turn them over and bake them for an additional 25-30 minutes or until done.
  9. Serve with lemon wedges (optional).

Can you air fryer these?

Yes, you certainly can.

  1. Turn the air-fryer on to 400 degrees.
  2. Air fry drumsticks for 10 minutes then flip them over and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until chicken reaches at least 165 degrees.

What can you serve chicken drumsticks with?

Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, potato salad, veggies, rice are all great optionals.

Can I reheat chicken drumsticks?

Chicken drumsticks don’t heat up very well, however, that’s not to say you cannot. I suggest to reheat them up in the oven at 275 degrees for 15 – 25 minutes or until heated up.


A few suggestions to perfection –

1. Broil your drumsticks for 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness. be sure to keep your eyes on them.

2. Pat dry drumsticks before adding oil and seasoning.

3. Serve your chicken drumsticks with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. The fresh parsley adds more flavor, and the lemon adds a zesty taste.

4. Try baking your chicken drumsticks in a cast iron pan. It makes this recipe taste oh so much better!

5. May add additional seasoning to your own personal taste.
